Two Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres were killed in an exchange of fire with the Special Operation Group (SOG) in Koraput District of Odisha on November 12, reports Times Now. DIG South Range Rajesh Pandit said, "We received info about the presence of 20 Maoist in the Ramgiri Forest area. The BSF and SOG jawans started a combing operation. There was an exchange of fire in which two Maoists were killed." Weapons, ganja and other Maoist materials were recovered from the slain extremists. A tiffin bomb, three country-made guns, five detonators, mobile charger, Maoist uniforms,10 sealed packets of ganja and other Maoist materials were recovered from the spot of the encounter, the Police said.
