On 6 November 2022, an unidentified gunman threw a grenade at the director of Qaatabah district -- Muhammad az Zaydi -- while he was at an oil derivatives station in Az Zubayriyah area on the road between Qatabah and Al Fakhir (coded to Al Fakhir) (Qaatabah, Ad Dali). 1 worker of the station was killed and 1 other injured.
