On 8 November 2022, a U.S. drone conducted airstrikes on Al Jamarek square in Al-Heri town and other areas including the military border crossing point on the Syrian-Iraqi borders in Deir ez Zor countryside, targeting pro-Iran militias' positions, killing 14 members, and injuring others some of whom seriously. 14 fatalities.
