On 5 November 2022, the air component of Operation Hadarin Daji conducted airstrikes against ISWAP militants who were converging at Bolowa (Abadan, Borno) for a meeting. Two militant leaders; Mallam Ali Kwaya and Mallam Bukar Mainoka were killed, 13 survivors who were being conveyed in two vehicles were also targeted in precision airstrikes and killed.
