On 5 November 2022, in Tha Yet Kin Ma Nu village of Buthidaung township (Maungdaw District, Rakhine State), heavy artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military troops landed in the village and killed a 35-year-old Muslim school teacher and injured two civilians, including a 5-year-old child.
