On 8 November 2022, in Hpa Laung Pyin village (Minbya township, Mrauk-U district, Rakhine state), the military stationed in the Minbya town fired artillery rounds at the nearby villages at around 9 am, hitting and destroying six houses in the village. Casualties unknown.
