On 10 November 2022, in Kun Nar village (Loikaw township, Loikaw district, Kayah state), the Loikaw-based Myanmar military artillery unit and the Loilen-based battalion 530 fired around 20 artillery rounds into nearby villages at night. Artillery shells landed in the village and damaged two houses. A 70-year-old man died from shortness of breath after hearing the sound of an explosion.
