On 10 November 2022, in Aing Din village (coded as Aing Din Ywar Thit) (Ponnagyun township, Sittwe district, Rakhine state), six artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military following an armed clash with the Arakan Army landed in the village and injured a 15-year-old boy and a 50-year-old woman. The boy suffered critical injuries. The victims could not be taken to the hospital as the road was blocked by the military. The DVB, the RFA and the DMG reported that the victims were injured by shelling while the Narinjara News reported that they were injured by the military's airstrikes.
