On 11 November 2022, near Di Par Yon village (Ponnagyun township, Sittwe district, Rakhine state), the Ponnagyun based military LIB 550 and the Par Da Leik based military battalions fired at least four artillery shells deliberately at the village at about 7 am and one shell landed and exploded near the village, killing two men who were returning after herding their cattle. One was killed on the spot and another died on the way to the hospital.
