Yesterday they visited one of the settlements of Okhtyrka district, where the shelling took place the day before. "In the afternoon, a Russian helicopter fired unguided missiles at the outskirts of the village from its territory without crossing the border. Fortunately, there were no casualties. One of the missiles did not explode, but fell near the road," said Oleh Yevlash, head of the explosive department of the National Police in Sumy region. After inspecting the site of the air strike, police sappers came to the conclusion that the attack was carried out by C-13 missiles. This is a Russian powerful aviation projectile weighing from 57 to 75 kilograms (depending on the model), designed to destroy buildings, equipment and people. "The unexploded shell had a detonated fuse, so it posed an extreme danger to others. Our sappers neutralized it and took it to a safe place for destruction," said Oleh Yevlash. The police of Sumy region emphasize that when receiving a message about an air raid, a threat of air or artillery strikes, citizens should take such information seriously and responsibly.
