On 31 October 2022, in Myitkyina town of Myitkyina township (Myitkyina District, Kachin State), a bomb explosion occurred inside the compound of the Kachin State Government Offices at around 6:35 pm. The explosion killed a motorcyclist nearby who was believed to be an alleged bomber.
