On 30 October 2022, in Monywa town (Monywa township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), a combined force of the Myanmar's Royal Dragon Army and the Spring Oath Guerrilla Force attacked the military ambush patrols hiding near U Mya Aye street, between Bo Tay Za and Pi Tauk streets, in Set Hmu Zone ward with 3 grenades at around 1 am and the military fired back with small guns. There were at least 6 fatalities on the military side.
