On 10 March 2020, in Kyauk Shee Pyin Village, in Mun Htaunt Village Tract, in Kyauktaw Township, in Rakhine State, artillery shells which were supposed from a clash landed into the village and some villagers were killed and injured, according to the Irrawaddy. Narinjara News reported that a woman who fled Mon Than Pyin was killed and her child was injured when the shells hit Kyauk Shee Pyin village.
