On or before 18 April 2020, Islamic State militants targeted 2 Hummers belonging to the Egyptian military forces with IEDs in the village of Tufaha south of Bir Al-Abd (Bir Al-Abd, North Sinai), destroying the Hummers and killing and injuring an unreported number of soldiers on board. Unknown number of fatalities coded as 3.
