On 17 February 2020, Malay Muslim Separatists detonated an IED planted near the wall of a school in Phai Man village, Moo 3, tambon Bo Thong, Nong Chik district of Pattani, Thailand. It was assumed that the separatists were targeting military officers patrolling the school area but no injuries reported.
