On 11 March 2020, an ISGS militant detonated a suicide car bomb against a Malian army convoy in Hagana (Ansongo, Gao), killing himself and two soldiers. ISWAP claimed responsibility for directing the ISGS attack, but said that the attack targeted French forces. SVBIED
