On 17 April 2020, a Chadian fighter jet stationed at the Sergent-Chef Adji Kossei base in the capital of NDjamena (N'Djamena) mistakenly fired a missile that hit the home of a Republican Guard commander, leaving five people, including children, dead and others wounded.
