On December 24 2019, in Urena, Tachira state, unknown armed individuals detonated two grenades in a National Guard (GNB) base. It is reported that the attack might be due to the connections between the National Bolivarian Guard and Colombian armed groups such as the National Liberation Army (ELN). No injuries are reported.
