On June 2, Islamic State (Soldiers of the Caliphate) militants detonated an IED on a pipeline transporting fuel and oil products from the Douleb field to Sfax, the explosion which took place in the Hrara area of Sbeitla and caused a fire. Media reports citing security sources initially dismissed the fire as caused by a presumed technical fault.
