On 11 May, 2019, a roadside IED planted by an unidentified armed group on the outskirts of al Sabkha in southern Deir-ez-Zor countryside detonated targeting a QSD column carrying fuel supplies, wounding 1 individual, assumed to be civilian, and set fire to one of the fuel tankers. No fatalities were reported.
