On 22 April, 2019, a motorcycle rigged with IEDs by an unidentified armed group detonated in Thiban in southern Deir-ez-Zor countryside targeting a passing QSD convoy. As a result, 5 QSD members were wounded along with 3 civilians, 2 women and a child. No fatalities were reported.
