On April 17, 2017, a child was injured following the explosion of a landmine, previously planted by IS, in a market in Al Tabqa city in the western countryside of Ar-Raqqa. No fatalities were reported. Other reports claim that the explosion was caused by the detonation of an IS planted cluster bomb.
