On 26 October 2022, in Ka Ma Maung village (Hpapun township, Hpapun district, Kayin state), an unidentified armed group planted three handmade mines on the Hpa Yar Su road at noon and one of them exploded. The BGF arrived after the explosion and detained 8 locals nearby as suspects. Casualties unknown.
