On 22 October 2022, in Shwe Pauk Pin village (Myaung township, Sagaing district, Sagaing region), the military raided the village and fired heavy weapons at around 5 am. A shell fired by the military fell on a boat of six people who were fleeing crossing the Irrawaddy River and the boat sank. DVB and Khit Thit Media reported that a person escaped and five others were missing. RFA reported that five people died. Fatalities coded as 0, using the lowest estimate.
