On 22 October 2022, in Kyangin town (Kyangin township, Hinthada district, Ayeyarwady region), a bomb explosion occurred at the military intelligence office on Thar Yar 5 street in Ywar Thit ward at around 9:30 pm as part of Operation 'Ayeyarwady Nan Htike Aung' under the NUG. Casualties unknown.
