Assam Rifles on October 30 seized a large cache of Myanmar-bound tactical and war-like stores, including explosive materials, at Tuipang village in Siaha District of Mizoram and arrested four persons in connection with the case, reports Morung Express. The seized items include one shotgun, 2,483 rounds ammunition, 169 Gelatin sticks, and 0.177 mm pellets. Defence spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Mahendra Rawat said that the stores recovered were of military grade and hence the same being used for anti-national activities by insurgents based in Myanmar cannot be ruled out. |
