Separately, the team of central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 216 battalion out on a search operation in the Tarajhar Forest area near the Odisha border, exchanged fire with the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres in Gariabandh District of Chhattisgarh on October 24, reportsen.lalluram.com. The Police team did not suffer any kind of damage in this incident. The Maoists had to flee following heavy retaliation by the Police. During the search, Police recovered shreds of literature, uniforms, medicines and other essentials that the Maoists maintained in their camp.
