On 19 October 2022, the Nigerian Defense Headquarters claimed that the troops carried out an airstrike targeted at ISWAP militants at Tumbun Barorowa, coded to Abadam (Abadan, Borno). Several training camps and logistics facilities of the militants were destroyed, Casualties are unknown.
