As of Oct. 18, authorities are planning to defuse an unexploded WWII-era bomb discovered in Bois-Colombes, Paris. The device was discovered during building work in Rue Raoul Nordling, close to the Becon-les-Bruyeres station. Authorities have established a 400-meter (0.25-mile) safety radius from the bomb, instructing personnel to leave the area. Local roads will be closed, and the Ligne L local railway will also be affected. The bomb will be deactivated once the area has been cleared. Police will likely implement road diversions near the affected area, causing increased traffic congestion. Officials did not immediately provide a specific time for when the disposal operation will conclude. Allow additional time for travel in Bois-Colombes and the northwestern suburbs of Paris, Oct. 18.
