On 8 October 2022, the Nigerian military claimed to have conducted an airstrike against a Kaduna militia who were converging under tree covers for a meeting at a location 33km northwest of Mando (Birnin Gwari, Kaduna). Several militiamen including militia leaders and their followers were killed, coded as 3.
