A medium-intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded outside the residence of former member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kh. Loken Singh, partially damaging the gate of his residence, along with a street lamp next to it and a portion of the road, in Kwakeithel Takhellambam Leikai area in Imphal West District of Manipur on October 7, reports East Mojo. Local people claimed that the IED went off shortly after Singh was seen entering his residence. No arrest has been made in connection with the incident thus far. Also, no one has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.
