On 4 October 2022, an IED planted by an unidentified group hit members of the IRG 37th Armored Brigade as they were protecting a convoy of oil trucks through Al Abr - Al Uqlah road (coded to Al Khashaah Junction) (Arma, Shabwah). The explosion killed 2 soldiers and injured 5 more.
