On 1 October 2022, IS militants detonated an IED against a QSD military convoy including members of the Deir-ez-Zor Military Council and the Asayish forces in Jdid Ekeidat town in Deir ez Zor countryside, wounding two MDA members and one Asayish member. There were no fatalities.
