A second unexploded bomb was found on a building site in Shrewsbury this morning at around 9.50am. A controlled explosion of the first unexploded bomb was carried out at 7.30pm on Wednesday night. A 50-metre safety cordon was put in place on Thursday morning and officers from Explosive Ordnance Disposal attended the scene. West Mercia Police confirmed shortly after 11.30am that cordon had been lifted, and that a “controlled explosion had been carried out”.
