On 17 September 2022, Israeli warplanes conducted airstrikes targeting Syrian regime forces and pro-Iran militias positions in the area of Kisweh in Rural Damascus governorate. The airstrikes killed five pro-Iran militiamen and Syrian regime forces members. 5 fatalities split between 2 in Damascus - International Airport, 2 in Sayyeda Zeinab and 1 in Kisweh.
