The device was discovered during construction work on Sickingenstrass in the Moabit area of the city. Police will set up a 500-meter (1,640-foot) restricted area from 06:00 Sept. 26; all businesses and residences in this area will be evacuated. Additional precautionary measures include the closure of the Ringbahn rail line; S-Bahn lines S41 and S42 will be impacted. Road closures will also be implemented within the restricted area. Officials have already indicated that the device will be detonated due to its poor condition. Avoid the affected area until authorities give the all-clear.
