On 14 September 2022, one member of Tahreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was killed, and 10-11 others, including Afghan Taliban forces and some TTP members, were injured in an explosion near a hotel in Barmal district, Paktika. The explosives were planted in a motorcycle by unknown armed men. No one has claimed responsibility.
