On 9 September 2022, the Taliban's Mansoori Corps was targeted by an unknown air drone attack in Gardez, Paktia. Local sources from Gardez claimed that a weapon warehouse Taliban in the Mansouri military camp was destroyed in this attack. Casualties are unknown. The Taliban Defense Ministry denied the incident took place calling the reports false and baseless.
