On 9 September 2022, the air component of operation Hadarin Daji carried out airstrikes on a Katsina militia at Kawari axis, coded to Dan Musa (Dan-Musa, Katsina) after the intelligence gathered plans by the militia to plant IEDs for troops, a large number of the militiamen were killed, coded as 10 and few of them were sighted fleeing.
