On 14 September 2022, AQAP militants planted an IED targeting an STC vehicle (coded as Security Belt forces) in Al Jaz (Mudiyah, Abyan) injuring several STC fighters. One source claimed that 5 explosions targeted SBF vehicles in Mudiyah that day.
