A ROAD closure will be in place while police deal with an unexploded bomb Ferry Road, in Studland, will be closed between 2pm and 3.30pm today, Thursday September 8, while officers deal with the device. The last ferry crossing will be at 1.50pm and there will be no through traffic during the closure. The ferry will still take foot passengers and cyclists for Shell Bay only. A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at 9.53am on Thursday September 8 relating to an explosive device that had been located in the area of Ferry Road in Studland. "Officers have liaised with explosive ordnance device experts and a cordon has been put in place. This will be extended between 2pm and 3.30pm this afternoon as a controlled detonation is carried out. "We would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the cordons are in place."
