Spokesperson of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Otjozondjupa Region, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha said an official of the Ministry of Education in the Kunene Region spotted a mortar bomb lying close to the road on Sunday morning. The official who was with two colleagues in a government truck on their way to Windhoek alerted the Outjo police station,said Mbeha. Upon arrival the Outjo police searched the entire area, and found a bag containing another mortar bomb, three rifle grenades, one hand grenade, the tail fins of two rifle grenades, 37 millimetre rubber bullets and two containers of flares. Mbeha added that materials that appeared to be part of bouncing land mines and safety releases of grenades were also found in the bag. 25/07/2016
