A tribal woman, identified as Somli Hemla, was injured by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast planted by the cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) in the Forests near Ketulnar in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on July 19, reports The Times of India. It appears that the woman unknowingly stepped on the pressure IED that was apparently planted by Maoists targeting security personnel who go out on anti-Naxal [Left Wing extremism, LWE] operations on foot.
