On 18 July 2022, in Aungmyaythazan township (Mandalay district, Mandalay region), a homemade mine exploded in the compound of No. 36 Basic Education High School between 86th and 87th streets at around 9:50 pm. A passer-by who was riding a motorcycle was injured. Two windshields of a Hijet car and two windows of the school were also damaged.
