On 19 July 2022, in Sincelejo (Sucre), suspected Gulf Clan members on a motorcycle threw a grenade at a police station in the Cruz de Mayo sector. The grenade fell into a restaurant next to the station instead, leaving seven civilians injured, including a pregnant woman. The injured victims were taken to the hospital. There were no fatalities.
