On 19 July 2022, near Ngar Shan village of Chaung-U township (Monywa district, Sagaing region), joint forces of Chaung-U PDF and Myaung PDF (TGR) carried out mine attacks against a military convoy of 14 vehicles at around 4 pm on Mandalay-Monywa Highway, traveling from Chaung-U town and Khin Mun village. At least ten military troops died.
