On 19 July 2022, in Myawaddy town of Myawaddy township (Myawaddy district, Kayin state), a bomb explosion occurred at the corner of U Aung Zeya street and Bogyoke Road in Ward No. 5 at around 9:55 am. No group claimed responsibility for the explosion. There were no casualties.
