On 21 July 2022, in Yankin township (Yangon-East district, Yangon region), an unidentified armed group attacked the compound of the military-owned Moe Kaung Treasure Maternal and Child Hospital and Myawady Media Centre on Moe Kaung Road with an explosive at around 9:45 pm. The military claimed that the explosive was believed to be an improvised rocket launcher. A teak tree fell down and the brick fence of the hospital was slightly damaged. There were no casualties.
