On 13 July 2022, Nigerian Air Force fighter jets carried out air strikes at the hideout of Maliki Shrige at South Jaja community, coded to Zurmi (Zurmi, Zamfara). About 45 from a militia operating in the area were killed, and their logistics were destroyed.
