During a gun battle with the District Reserve Guard (DRG) personnel, one cadre of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) was killed in Borapara Forest under Gadiras Police Station limits in Sukma District of Chhattisgarh on July 1, reports The Pioneer. After the encounter, the body of a Maoist was recovered from the spot, who was identified as Kamlesh, a member of Malanger Area Committee of CPI-Maoist, carrying a bounty of INR 500,000 on his head, Sukma Superintendent of Police (SP), Sunil Sharma said.
